Dr. Allison Peiritsch

Allison Peiritsch is an associate professor within Slippery Rock University’s department of Strategic Communication and Media, where she has taught for 10 years. She has been the advisor for Rock PRSSA for six years and has been a part of PRSA National for 29 years. 

Dr. Peiritsch is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of public relations and communication experience in both academic and business settings. At Slippery Rock University, she teaches public relations and integrated marketing communication courses. In addition to being an active member of the Department of Strategic Communication and Media, Dr. Peiritsch is a member of the university’s President’s Commission on Disability Issues and was a 2019 finalist for the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Peiritsch joined the university after working in public relations for 18 years in agency, corporate and non-profit settings. She most recently worked at Ketchum, a top-five global public relations agency, where she worked for 13 years and served as a senior vice president.
