Learn About Our Speakers:

Steve Radick
​

Radick is an EVP, managing director of corporate affairs at Burson. He has more than 20 years of experience in PR, advertising and communication. Previously, he led the PR teams at Brunner and Cramer-Krasselt and spent nine years at Booz Allen Hamilton where he created and led the social media practice. Radick has led PR and social media campaigns for two Super Bowl commercials, created the first social media strategy for the U.S. Navy, taught social media 101 classes for Department of Intelligence and CIA analysts, and was the first community manager for a behind-the-firewall 25,000+ person social media enterprise application.

Radick is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bethany College with a bachelor’s in public relations. His work has garnered numerous industry awards including PRSA Pittsburgh’s Team of the Year award in 2017, more than two dozen PRSA Renaissance Awards, PRSA’s Bronze Anvil for 84 Lumber’s Super Bowl campaign, and his work was a PRSA Silver Anvil finalist for the Home Depot Rental brand launch.

Brian Ackermann
​

Ackermann is a senior manager, digital at Golin and the 2025 president-elect of PRSA Pittsburgh. With over seven years of experience, he has led influencer programs, paid and organic content strategy, insights development and LinkedIn executive visibility across a range of clients focused in nonprofit, health and wellness.

Ackermann attended Duquesne University and was the vice president of the organization's PRSSA chapter. He has served on the PRSA Pittsburgh board since graduating in 2016.

Ackermann has served on digital teams at several global PR agencies including Golin, Weber Shandwick and Havas, solving problems for healthcare clients like Esslior/Transitions Optical, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol Myers Squibb and Novartis.

Scott Hershberger

​
Hershberger is a lead communications specialist on the clinical marketing team at UPMC. His work responsibilities include writing patient stories and blog articles, building websites, crafting e-newsletters, developing print collateral, and assisting with video production.



​Prior to his time at UPMC, Hershberger has been a television news reporter at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland, a public relations specialist at the Franklin County Visitors Bureau in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, director of economic development at Mainstreet Waynesboro Inc., and most recently, director of tourism services at VisitPITTSBURGH.

Originally from south-central Pennsylvania, Hershberger is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in communication/journalism. He received his master’s in business administration from Slippery Rock University in 2021. In addition to serving on the programming committee for PRSA Pittsburgh, Hershberger is vice president of programming for the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Marketing Association, a board member for the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and a member of the Rotary Club of Cranberry Township - Sunrise.
